Capilliary-Impregnation-Method...
is based on the principle of surface tensions, weting phenomena and fine tuned viscosities.
Dissolved polymers penetrate without vacuum and pressure into porosities and hairline cracks.

2 glass plates are clamped together and are put upright for 1 minute in a lid filled with dichtol.
dichtol penetrates on ground of its excellent capilliary activity (=creeping properties) against the gravity of the earth and rises approx. 55 mm.
